Children's Critical Illness.
Child critical illness pays out a lump sum to help support your family if your child or future children are diagnosed with a severe condition or injury. This is sometimes automatically included in your critical illness or life insurance but this can be an add-on depending on your provider so make sure to check your policy or make our advisors aware if you would like to include this.

How Childs Critical Illness Cover Works.
Your provider will payout a lump sum after a certain period between diagnosis and making a claim, for example, 10 days after diagnosis. This all depends on the provider and can be discussed with you when signing up or adding this to your current policy. The amount paid out will be a certain percentage of your cover, usually 25% or a maximum of £25,000 whichever is lower. This usually has no impact on your life insurance policy and your family will still receive the full cover amount if you were to pass away (dependant on provider).
